Ian Cockerell

Ian is one of the founding podiatrists at Deal Podiatry, bringing over 30 years of experience in both NHS and private practice. He qualified from the University of Plymouth with a BSc in Podiatry in 1995, going on to spend 17 years within the NHS where he developed specialist expertise in musculoskeletal and paediatric podiatry.

Throughout his NHS career Ian built an extensive skill set in wound care and the full breadth of routine podiatric conditions. He extended his private practice experience through a position at the Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury, and was a member of the medical team at the 2011 The Open Championship at Royal St George's, Sandwich - a proud highlight of his career.

Marie Cockerell

Marie has over 35 years of experience in podiatry, having qualified from the prestigious Chelsea School of Podiatry in 1990. Her NHS career began within the health education team before she moved into a leadership role, managing the local podiatry team for 12 years.

Marie possesses particular depth in complex wound care and the management of the diabetic foot - two areas where her steady, compassionate approach has benefited countless patients. More recently, she has developed a specialism in musculoskeletal podiatry, a discipline that complements her additional qualification as a British Wheel of Yoga teacher, reflecting her holistic belief in movement and wellbeing.

Siobhan Groombridge

Siobhan brings 20 years of NHS experience to Deal Podiatry, having qualified from the University of Brighton with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. Over her career she has treated a wide spectrum of foot and lower limb complaints - from routine foot care through to the management of the high-risk diabetic foot.

For the last eight years Siobhan has worked as a Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist, collaborating alongside orthopaedic consultants, physiotherapists, and in paediatric centres to address complex foot, knee, hip and lower back problems. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures her patients receive truly holistic, coordinated care.

My vision is simple - to help people walk well and run free.

Louisa Lynch

Louisa qualified from the University of Brighton with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry in 2007 and has spent over a decade working within the NHS. That wealth of clinical exposure has given her hands-on experience across virtually the full range of podiatric conditions seen in practice.

Her areas of expertise include wound care, management of the diabetic foot, nail surgery, and musculoskeletal podiatry. Louisa's broad skill set means she is well placed to meet the needs of both straightforward and complex presentations, and her patients consistently value her thorough, reassuring manner.

Imogen Sokell

Imogen qualified from the University of Plymouth in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry and has since accumulated 20 years of NHS experience. Her clinical breadth covers all routine podiatric conditions, nail surgery, and musculoskeletal pathologies.

Imogen is an experienced vulnerable foot specialist with 14 years focused on patients with complex wounds and the high-risk diabetic foot. She has worked in multi-disciplinary clinics alongside vascular consultants, orthopaedic consultants, and endocrinologists - experience that underpins her thorough, evidence-based approach to patient care.
